As temperatures in Central Florida are set to plummet, school districts are taking proactive measures to ensure student safety and comfort. With freezing conditions expected on Monday, Orange County has prioritized inspecting its bus fleet, focusing on cold-weather readiness. This includes checking batteries, warming engines, and ensuring all safety equipment is in optimal condition.
In addition to transportation preparations, maintenance crews across Orange County have rigorously tested heating systems in schools. These teams are ready to address any potential temperature-related issues that may arise, ensuring a warm environment for students and staff alike.
Meanwhile, in Seminole County, district officials assure the community that both buses and school facilities will be fully heated and ready to welcome students. This comprehensive approach highlights the district’s commitment to maintaining educational activities without compromising safety.
