Champaign Co. EMA receives grant for technology upgrades

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign County Emergency Management Agency is set to enhance its technology capabilities, thanks to a generous grant exceeding $13,000 from Norfolk Southern Railway.

Coordinator John Dwyer expressed that the $13,478 grant comes at a critical juncture, especially as the agency faces the impact of federal budget cuts that have reduced certain funding sources.
