URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign County Sheriff has recently been selected to serve on two prominent statewide boards. Sheriff Dustin Heuerman expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to collaborate with these groups, aiming to gather insights that could enhance services in Champaign County.
This opportunity has been in the pipeline for about two years since Governor JB Pritzker’s Office initially contacted Heuerman regarding positions on the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) and the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA).
