The City of Champaign is grappling with a troubling rise in daylight gun incidents. In a span of just a few days, the community has witnessed alarming events that have thrust issues of gun violence into the spotlight. On Wednesday, March 4, a 15-year-old was injured by gunfire. Barely 48 hours later, two juveniles were apprehended following reports of armed individuals in the Garden Hills neighborhood.
