Unit 4 Schools introduce new mobile app in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Unit 4 School District will be participating in a federal Summer Food Service Program, providing meals free of charge, district officials announced.

Meals will be provided to all children without charge, officials said. In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, all meals will be the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. There will also be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

People wanting to pick up meals for their children can do so at the following locations at the listed times and dates:

  • Bottenfield Elementary School, 1801 S. Prospect Ave.
    • Monday through Friday from June 12 to July 21
    • Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
    • Lunch: 11:45 p.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Booker T. Washington STEM Academy, 606 E. Grove St.
    • Monday through Thursday from June 5 to July 14
    • Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
    • Lunch: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Central High School, 610 W. University Ave.
    • Monday through Thursday from June 5 to July 13
    • Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
    • Lunch: 10:50 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • Dr. Howard Elementary School, 110 N. James St.
    • Monday through Thursday from June 5 to July 27
    • Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
    • Lunch: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Franklin STEAM Academy, 817 N. Harris Ave.
    • Monday through Thursday from June 5 to July 13
    • Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
    • Lunch: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • International Prep Academy, 1611 W. Kirby Ave.
    • Monday through Thursday from July 10 to Aug. 3
    • Morning snack: 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
    • Lunch: 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Stratton Academy of the Arts, 902 N. Randolph St.
    • Monday through Thursday from June 5 to July 7
    • Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
    • Lunch: 10:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
