CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Authorities in Champaign are currently probing reports of gunfire that emerged on Sunday evening, with evidence indicating shots were discharged at two separate sites.
Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Grove Street around 7:50 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered signs of gunfire near the crossroads of East Grove Street and North 5th Street. Further evidence was also found on Tremont Street, stretching between 4th and 5th Streets. Fortunately, no injuries had been reported by 8:50 p.m.
