Two more ramps opening at I-74, I-57 interchange in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Early Thursday morning marks the opening of two additional flyover ramps at the I-57/I-74 interchange, signifying further progress in the extensive reconstruction project in the area.

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the ramps connecting eastbound I-74 to northbound I-57 and southbound I-57 to eastbound I-74 will be available for use by 6 a.m. These latest additions bring the number of new ramps at the interchange to six, all part of a significant $2.52 million project that has been underway for the past four years.
