SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Although it’s been a few days since snowfall, we’re still feeling the impacts.

Chatham County officials continue to urge drivers to stay off the icy roads.

The fire department shared a photo of an overturned vehicle on Ogeechee and Dean Forest roads Friday, saying the driver had lost control on the overpass.

Minor injuries were reported.

“This is why we urge folks to stay off the roads in icy conditions!” the Chatham County Fire Department shared.

There are still some road and bridge closures in the county due to ice.

“Avoid driving unless absolutely necessary to protect yourself and others,” the Chatham Emergency Management Agency posted on Facebook. “If you must drive, use extreme caution and drive slowly…don’t let black ice sneak up on you.”
