A man who was sought for a double homicide and a string of other offenses in Chicago has been apprehended in St. Louis, Missouri, as confirmed by authorities on Tuesday.
According to the Chicago police, Muhammad Thomas, aged 35, was involved in a burglary that took place on November 8, 2025. The crime occurred at a business located in the 3800 block of West 26th Street in the South Lawndale area.
After fleeing the scene, Thomas is alleged to have fatally shot a 25-year-old man and a 63-year-old man. In addition, police say he is charged with the serious shooting of a 26-year-old man on July 28, 2023, in the 1700 block of West Maypole Avenue, situated on the Near West Side.
