(NEXSTAR) – Chick-fil-A is hoping to succeed where McDonald’s didn’t, announcing plans this week to debut its very own beverage-focused spinoff concept.

Daybright, which is slated to open its first location in the coming months, will serve coffee drinks, cold-pressed juice drinks, smoothies and food. But don’t expect any cross-over items from Chick-fil-A to make it to the Daybright menu: Daybright is going to be its own standalone café, despite being spearheaded by a subsidiary company of Chick-fil-A.

“Daybright is a new beverage-focused restaurant concept and is scheduled to open in the Greater Atlanta area this fall,” a representative for Chick-fil-A, Inc. confirmed to Nexstar. “Daybright is brought to you by Red Wagon Ventures, LLC, which is a subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc. We look forward to sharing more details in the future!”

Red Wagon Ventures is also the same company responsible for developing Little Blue Menu, a previous Chick-fil-A restaurant concept, which debuted in 2023. The lone location in College Park, Maryland, serves familiar Chick-fil-A fare alongside items such as burgers, onion rings and chicken wings. (Little Blue Menu had also offered pizza years ago, but that no longer seems to be the case.)

Chick-fil-A’s spokesperson was not able to reveal any additional details about Daybright or its menu. It was also unclear if the Daybright in Atlanta is intended to be the only Daybright or whether Red Wagon Ventures has plans to expand the concept to other locations.

Plans for Daybright were also announced just months after McDonald’s pulled back plans for its own beverage-focused cafes — known as “CosMc’s” — after opening seven locations in Texas and one at the company headquarters in Chicago. In May 2025, McDonald’s said it was ditching the concept and shuttering all restaurants by the end of the following month.

Chick-fil-A, meanwhile, has already launched several restaurant concepts outside of its namesake chicken chain. In addition to Little Blue Menu, Chick-fil-A’s sister restaurants include Dwarf House (four locations), Truett’s Grill (three locations) and Truett’s Luau (one location), all in Georgia.
