TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Residents in many regions are starting their day with unexpectedly cold temperatures. Despite the clear, sunny skies forecasted for today, the chill is expected to linger throughout the afternoon.

Highs are anticipated to reach only the upper 50s, with wind chills maintaining a cool feel in the mid to upper 50s due to a persistent breeze. Tonight will bring another cold spell, though it won’t be as frigid as this morning.

A gradual warming trend is set to begin by tomorrow afternoon, with temperatures climbing back into the low 70s. By Friday afternoon, the upper 70s are expected to make a comeback, and the weekend forecast predicts a rise into the low 80s.

The weather will remain stable, with minimal to no rain expected through the beginning of next week. Humidity levels will stay low, and the next weather front is not anticipated until the middle of next week.
