TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Crime Stoppers of Christian County are turning to the public for information on a home burglary that happened in Taylorville last month.

On Feb. 20 at approximately 4:49 p.m., the Christian County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an unknown man inside the residence located at 1978 E 1200 North Road. The victim was watching a live feed of the suspect rummaging through their house.

The suspect is described as a white male, medium build, wearing a black mask, dark clothing and tennis shoes. While the caller was on the phone with dispatch, they saw that the suspect had found one of the hidden cameras. The suspect proceeded to take the camera from its location and throw it out into the yard.

The male suspect was driving a dark colored, extended cab Chevrolet pickup truck with an Illinois Temporary License Plate. Entry to the house was forced, and at this time, it is unknown what or if anything was taken.
