In Christian County, Illinois, students in one district will attend classes online on Monday due to a surge in absences among both students and staff.
Ashley Francis, superintendent of Edinburg Community Unit School District #4, reported that local doctors are witnessing a “significant amount of illness,” including COVID-19, the flu, and strep throat. As a precaution, the district has designated this day as an e-learning day, allowing custodial and maintenance crews to thoroughly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces throughout the school facilities.
