URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — The history of a Central Illinois retirement community has been captured in a new book, reshaping the narrative of their past.

Residents and staff at ClarkLindsey collaborated to create “The Dream Continues,” a historical account that began over a decade ago but gained momentum in 2023. The book chronicles the community’s journey from the late 1980s through to 2025, offering a comprehensive look at their evolution.

Kathleen Holden, a resident author, emphasized the significance of sharing their transformation and growth. She highlighted four key elements crucial for aging well: fostering community, pursuing education, engaging in exercise, and finding a purpose that extends beyond oneself.
