Crime Stoppers seeking tips on CVS theft in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Crime Stoppers is looking to help Springfield Police in tracking down a man who stole medicine from a CVS Pharmacy last month.

On Sept. 11 at approximately 2 p.m., a theft occurred at a CVS located at 2703 Adlai Stevenson Drive in Springfield. During the incident, the suspect, who is believed to be a male wearing all black clothing and a mask, entered the store and headed to the pharmacy.

As this person approached the pharmacy counter, he jumped over the it, took medicine off the shelf and fled the store in an unknown direction. Photos of this individual can be found on the Crime Stoppers of Sangamon and Menard Counties’ website.

Anyone with information on this incident or that can identify the suspect is urged to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on their website or use the P3 app. Tips resulting in an arrest could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500.
