Crime Stoppers seeking tips on Little Caesars burglary in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The Crime Stoppers of Sangamon and Menard Counties are looking for details on a man who broke into a Springfield pizza place.

On Sept. 25 at approximately 1:30 a.m., video shows a white man wearing a gray mask, black shirt and gray pants at a Springfield Little Caesars. The man proceeded to throw a chunk of asphalt through the front door of the restaurant, located at 1614 S. MacArthur Blvd., which shattered the glass and allowed him to gain entry to the establishment.

Once inside the business, the man took food from a cooler before leaving the area in an unknown direction.

Photos of the suspect can be found on the Crime Stoppers’ website. In an effort to assist the Springfield Police Department with this incident, anyone who has information on this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on their website or use the P3 app. Tips resulting in an arrest can receive up to $2,500.
