BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities from the Florida Highway Patrol are actively seeking a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred early Saturday in Brevard County, critically injuring a man and a woman.
Responding to the incident at around 12:17 a.m., troopers arrived at the scene of the crash on State Road 520 near Clearlake Road. The collision involved an unidentified sedan and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The sedan fled the scene, leaving the motorcycle’s two riders, a 55-year-old man from Cocoa and a 54-year-old woman from Merritt Island, severely injured. They were subsequently transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center for treatment, as reported by the FHP.
Investigators believe the suspect vehicle may be a gray Hyundai sedan, likely displaying significant front-end damage. The vehicle is suspected to be without its grill, fog lights, and much of the front bumper, according to the highway patrol.
