AUGUSTA, Ga. — Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 25, when a significant event, A Day of Prayer, descends upon Augusta. This gathering, orchestrated by Faith Walk Ministries, will unfold at noon on the soccer field of Garrett Elementary, located on Eisenhower Drive.
The heart behind this initiative, as explained by Travon Wright, is to foster unity within the community. “It’s time for believers to raise their voices about what we can do for our country, community, and local government,” Wright emphasized. “Our focus will be on praying for our nation, our leaders, and our educational systems, aiming to spark a sense of urgency about uniting our community.”
The event extends an open invitation to all. Wright encourages participation from “everyone—people from every walk, every church, leaders, non-leaders, believers, and non-believers alike.”
In addition to prayer, attendees can look forward to worship sessions and a variety of food trucks. Wright expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “It is just going to be an amazing time. I’m expecting a powerful movement from the Lord during this gathering.”
While tickets are available at no cost, anyone can attend without one. So far, approximately 250 tickets have been reserved. For further details, interested individuals can visit faithwalk-ministries.org.
Wright also announced a concert on November 2 with Tye Tribbett. Tickets are available at Etix.com or through the Miller Theater website with promo code Praise 2025 for a 25% discount.
“This is the first Day of Prayer,” Wright said. “I’m just coming with great expectations.”
