CHAMPAIGN-URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — Community members are invited to the University of Illinois’ Main Quad Thursday evening to meet campus officers, learn safety tips and finish off the night with a free screening of “Lilo & Stitch.”

It’s an event put on by the Illini Union Board and the U of I Police Department. The event begins at 6 p.m. and the movie will start at 9 p.m. Attendees can also expect yard games.

“Bring your ‘ohana and friends to the Quad for a fun summer evening before the semester kicks off!” U of I Police wrote in a post on Facebook.

That’s not all that’s happening Thursday evening though. The Christie Clinic Kid’s on the Quad scavenger hunt will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. Organizers said scavenger hunt sheets will be available at the chambanamoms table. You can learn more about the event here.
