Emergency Teams Mobilize for Gibson City Apartment Blaze; Damages Estimated at $20,000

GIBSON CITY, Ill. — Multiple fire departments sprang into action on Saturday morning in Ford County to tackle a blaze at an apartment complex, successfully assisting one individual from the affected building.

The Ford County Chronicle, in collaboration with WCIA, reported that the Gibson City Fire Department received an emergency call regarding a fire alarm at around 9:04 a.m. The incident occurred in the 200 block of North Melvin Street. Upon assessment, mutual aid was requested from the Elliot Fire Department and Sullivant Township Fire Department (Sibley) to assist on site.
