Danville man sentenced to 13 1/2 years on meth charges

A Danville resident involved in methamphetamine distribution has been handed a prison sentence of 13 and a half years, following a court ruling on Monday in Vermilion County, Illinois.

Richard Dietz, aged 57, admitted guilt on October 20 to charges of possessing methamphetamine with the intention to distribute, a severe class X felony. His punishment includes a 13.5-year term in Illinois Department of Corrections, and he will also undergo 18 months of mandatory supervised release after completing his prison sentence.
