Decatur man pleads not guilty to killing roommate in shooting

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — In a recent court appearance, a Decatur resident charged with the shooting death of his roommate earlier this month has entered a plea of not guilty.

On Wednesday, 23-year-old Joshua Gregg chose to forgo his preliminary hearing, instead submitting a plea of not guilty to the charges leveled against him:

  • Involuntary manslaughter/family member
  • Involuntary manslaughter
  • Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon
  • Reckless discharge of a firearm
