Augusta, Ga () – The Foodees Food and Culture festival brings foodies of all ages to Reynolds St for a “deliciously” good time. With more than 70 food trucks and artisan vendors, the festival offers something for everyone to enjoy.

We spoke with Horace Williams of Jam Rock Jerk Spot who told us about the event, “Foodees food and culture, bring the culture. So what happens is you have different food trucks from all over the place and you come together under one umbrella”

Many attendees were eager to tell us what they had to eat at the festival.

Hayden James, an 8 year old, told us, “First I ate fried oreos with crab legs, then cheeseburgers, and macaroni.” Kiyanni Winfrey said, “I got me a turkey leg from 8 Wayz Wings and Things, oh my god y’all it’s so good. I’ve been plotting on this turkey wing for like two days.”

Williams told us about his traditional Jamaican menu, while combining high energy music and great service to attract new customers, “We got curry goat, we got jerk chicken mild and spicy, we got brown stew, we got curry chicken we got rice and peas. I got beef patty, so you know you’re a real Jamaican place if you have coco bread with the beef patty, see? It’s always a blessing to travel with them, get the experience meet different people, get different vibes. It’s a beautiful experience all weekend.”

Jontez Holden has a message to anyone not considering coming to the festival, “Man come on down that’s the best thing you to do. Talking about it ain’t gone get you down here. You just gotta come down and see it for yourself really.”

The Foodees Festival will continue on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm. For more information on the festival go to
