TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida woman carrying a bag labeled “definitely not a bag full of drugs” was arrested after deputies searched it.
According to Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, deputies stopped the vehicle Teryn Acri was riding in on Saturday, 10 days after she bonded out of jail on drug charges.
Deputies found multiple bags in the vehicle, including one that was labeled “definitely not a bag full of drugs.” A search of the bag (and her other items) turned up “methamphetamine, needles, narcan, digital scales, small baggies, cut straws and other items associated with drugs,” Ivey said.
Acri was taken to jail, where she is being held without bond.
“You know there is a quote that says ‘insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results’ and folks let me tell you, this is absolute insanity that we just keep letting these criminals out of jail on ridiculous bonds so they can break more laws,” Ivey wrote.
“Often times in law enforcement we say to ourselves ‘you just can’t make this stuff up’ and this case is without question one of those cases,” Ivey said.
