SAVANNAH, Ga. — On Tuesday evening, the vibrant creativity of 80 young artists from Savannah-Chatham County schools was on full display at the 25th annual New Beginning Art Exhibit.
The event, which took place at the Dr. Otis Johnson Cultural Arts Center, was judged by local professional artists. Prizes and certificates were presented by members of the Savannah Chapter of The Links, recognizing the impressive talents of these budding artists.
“The students have the unique opportunity to see their artwork exhibited in a museum setting,” said Denise Cooper, President of the Savannah Chapter of The Links. “It’s a celebration of their hard work. We present them with awards in the presence of their proud parents and allow them to appreciate not only their pieces but also those of their peers from the Savannah and Chatham County Public School System.”
Since its inception in 2001, the New Beginning Art Exhibit has involved more than 4,500 students, distributing nearly $30,000 in prizes and art resources to support their artistic journeys.
Our congratulations go out to all the talented students whose art was featured in this inspiring showcase!
