Watch: Trump Declares May 8 as ‘Victory Day’ to Honor World War II

(NEXSTAR) — Tuesday, November 11, might already stand out on your calendar. It’s a day that often brings a break from work for employees at post offices, banks, and other organizations that recognize Veterans Day as a holiday.

This year, the date carries an additional layer of significance, thanks to a decision made by the President earlier this year.

In May, President Trump announced the creation of two new national holidays. As stated on his Truth Social platform, these holidays are meant to honor the anniversaries of the end of World War I and World War II.
