JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — East Tennessee State University (ETSU) has earned a distinguished spot on Forbes Magazine’s list of the nation’s top midsize employers, securing the No. 71 position among 500 esteemed companies.

This recognition highlights ETSU’s commitment to providing an exemplary workplace environment. The ranking is derived from comprehensive survey feedback from employees at organizations housing between 1,000 and 5,000 workers. Participants were asked to evaluate their employers based on several factors, including salary, work environment, benefits, and opportunities for career advancement, as well as whether they would recommend their employer to others.

ETSU President Brian Noland expressed pride in the university’s achievement, stating, “This recognition as one of the best colleges to work for, along with our inclusion on the Great Colleges Honor Roll, affirms the hard work and commitment of our entire university community. Our efforts aim to ensure that ETSU remains a place where everyone is supported, valued, and empowered to contribute to the success of our students and our community.”
