SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Calling all fin-tastic artists! The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has begun their International Fish Art Contest for 2024-2025.

This contest program is free to enter and open to kids in kindergarten through grade 12 anywhere in the world, with the option to enter in the international content or the Go Fish Georgia Award contest.

“By using art and writing, we hope that this art contest ignites children’s imagination and inspires them to discover more about fish and fishing,” said Chrystal Sherwood, Educator at Georgia DNR’s Go Fish Education Center.

Those entering the International Fish Art Contest can choose to feature any wild fish in its habitat. Go Fish Georgia Award contest participants should portray a native or naturalized state fish species.

DNR said that they will not allow any digital or AI entries. The deadline for entries is Feb. 28, 2025which can be submitted digitally or by mail to Chrystal Sherwood/Go Fish Education Center at 1255 Perry Parkway, Perry, Ga. 31069.
