ORLANDO, Fla. – An eagerly awaited highlight of the Creative City Project’s annual IMMERSE event is set to captivate audiences with its own dedicated performance.
Prepare to be enchanted by the Orlando Vocal Collective, as they offer a unique concert experience characterized by intricate vocal arrangements, electrifying harmonies, and exceptional lead vocal performances.
Founder Chris Keogh promises, “Audiences will witness the Orlando Vocal Collective in a setting that’s both intimate and heartfelt, allowing for a more personal connection.”
He further explains, “While our IMMERSE performances are designed to fill Orlando’s bustling streets with high-energy and celebrate the legacies of music icons, this show offers a chance to draw viewers nearer, highlighting our core strengths: the harmonious voices, crafted arrangements, and the palpable connection we create on stage.”
The performance lineup boasts an ensemble of 11 talented singers paired with a dynamic four-piece band. Together, they will breathe new life into timeless hits from music legends like Janet Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson.
Keogh gave a closer look at what it takes to put together a show like this.
“Before we choose a song or step into rehearsal, there are weeks of conversations covering budgets, venue agreements, schedules and all the less glamorous, but completely necessary pieces,” Keogh explained.
“Once we know the when and the where, we can begin defining the what. We start narrowing down a stage design that doesn’t simply hold the performance, but feels like part of the show itself. Every visual choice helps us understand the world a little more clearly,” said Keogh.
Performances are 75 minutes and take place at a venue in the heart of downtown Orlando.
“I hope people leave believing a little more deeply in what can happen when artists are given the space to fully become themselves. OVC began as an idea for one performance, and now we are stepping into a room of our own, building a world around these voices and asking audiences to meet us there. To me, that says something powerful about what is possible when people believe in an idea, nurture it, and allow it to grow.”
