GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Greeneville/Greene County Office of Emergency Management has reported that while most roads in the county have reopened after recent flooding, a significant concern remains as a bridge on St James Road has collapsed.
Despite the reopening of numerous roads, the bridge located at 4240 St James Road has been confirmed to have collapsed, as stated by the St. James Volunteer Fire Department through their social media channels.
The Greeneville Police Department issued a statement on social media urging drivers to exercise great caution due to several reports of flooding on city streets. They emphasized the importance of adhering to signs such as cones, barricades, or road closure notices, warning residents not to ignore or move them.
