In Tampa, Florida, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has accused a mechanic from Dunedin of fraudulently acquiring at least four vehicles through deceptive paperwork. One of these vehicles was notably highlighted in a Better Call Behnken investigation.

Vasilios Ioannidis, who operates under the name Bill and owns B&B Spyder Customs Inc., has been taken into custody and faces charges of engaging in a scheme to defraud.

Official documents reveal that deputies allege Ioannidis secured vehicle titles via a mechanic’s lien. He purportedly claimed that vehicles were left at his shop for repairs, and subsequently, the service bills went unpaid.

However, the sheriff’s office reports that the actual vehicle owners have disputed these claims, insisting they never left their cars for any service work.
