Early Morning Leesburg Blaze Leaves One Injured

LEESBURG, Fla. — A house fire erupted early Sunday morning in Leesburg, resulting in one individual being transported to the hospital, according to an official statement.

Leesburg Fire Rescue reported that they were dispatched to a residence on Margaret Drive at approximately 3 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the second floor of the home engulfed in flames.

In their efforts to control the blaze, Leesburg firefighters received support from the Tavares Fire Department and Lake County Fire Rescue. The collaborative efforts led to the fire being successfully extinguished.

“Fire crews acted swiftly to contain the flames to the original site of the blaze,” the statement noted.

No further details have been provided at this time.
