CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Champaign County children will have to wait a few more days until this year’s Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt.

On Friday, it was announced that due to inclement weather and the possibility of thunderstorms, the Champaign Park District has rescheduled the annual egg hunt which was set to take place on Saturday.

The new date for the event is Tuesday, April 22 from 6-7 p.m. at West Side Park. The hunt will start at approximately 6:15 p.m.

However, the event will no longer include hayrack rides due to the wet ground conditions. Participants are being encouraged to bring their own baskets. Children aged 10 and under are allowed to participate and will be divided into age groups.
