CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Eastern Prairie Fire Protection District in Champaign County is gearing up for its beloved annual holiday event, designed to bring joy to children spending the holiday season in the hospital.

On December 24, starting at 8:45 a.m., the district will kick off Operation Santa at Carle Foundation Hospital. This cherished tradition aims to spread festive cheer to young patients and their families at the Urbana facility, as well as to members of the Eastern Prairie community.
