EDGEWATER, Fla. – In a concerning development, the Edgewater Police Department has reached out to the community for assistance in locating two young children involved in a “parental abduction” that occurred on Sunday evening. This urgent plea comes following an incident detailed in a recent news release.
Officers were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. to the 600 block of West Indian River Boulevard. The alarm was raised when Emily St. Clair reportedly took her two children from their father’s vehicle at a gas station. According to authorities, St. Clair followed the father to the location and seized the opportunity to take the children when he stepped inside the store, subsequently fleeing the scene with them.
One of the missing children, 7-year-old Eislee Kraus, is described as being about 4 feet tall, weighing between 40 and 50 pounds, and having blonde hair. At the time she was last seen, Eislee was wearing a one-piece nightgown, which might be purple in color.
The second child, 5-year-old Abe Kraus, stands at approximately 3 feet 6 inches and weighs between 35 and 40 pounds. He also has blonde hair and blue eyes. Unfortunately, the clothing Abe was wearing at the time of the incident remains unknown.
The police are urging anyone with information about the children’s whereabouts to come forward, as the situation remains a top priority for the department. The safety and swift return of Eislee and Abe are of utmost importance to both law enforcement and the community.
Police said St. Clair is the children’s mother but is prohibited from contacting them under a Department of Children and Families court order. She also has an active felony warrant for drug possession.
According to the release, St. Clair was last seen as a passenger in a newer‑model Chevrolet Blazer traveling south on U.S. 1.
