Effingham Fire Department Logs Over 700 Calls and Completes 5,000 Training Hours in 2025

The Effingham Fire Department, located in Illinois, reported attending to over 700 service calls throughout last year, as revealed in a newly released data report on Friday.

In a reflective post on their Facebook page, the department shared insights into the past year’s activities, emphasizing not only the total number of service calls and fire incidents but also the extensive hours firefighters dedicated to training.

The department recorded a total of 718 service calls, which averages out to approximately 1.97 calls per day. Among these, 155 were fire-related responses, including 28 incidents involving structure fires. These responses occurred both within Effingham and in neighboring areas where they offered mutual aid.
