Effingham Fire responds to contractor having medical emergency on roof

In Effingham, Illinois, a contractor experienced a medical emergency while working on the roof of a Kohl’s store on Friday afternoon, according to the local fire department. The incident occurred at the store located at 1600 Ford Avenue.

Effingham Fire Chief Brant Yochum reported that the emergency services were called to the scene to assist the worker, who was part of a contracted team engaged in roofing tasks at the time of the incident.
