ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – In a heartfelt tribute to his late daughter, an Elizabethton resident is making a generous contribution to the community by funding a new park.

Louie Greene, 77, a Vietnam War veteran, was devastated when he learned that his daughter, Sandra, was stillborn while he was serving in the Air Force. The loss has remained a profound sorrow throughout his life.

Greene vividly remembers the moment his company commander delivered the tragic news on December 5, 1968.
