CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — In a heartwarming gesture of generosity, approximately 100 individuals gathered at the Salvation Army Church and Worship Center in Champaign, united by a mission to distribute 600 laptops this holiday season.

“During the holidays, we understand that many people are faced with difficult financial decisions,” shared Melissa Sivels, Administrator at the Salvation Army. “Laptops often fall into the category of non-essential luxuries, so providing these to people during this financially straining time of year has been both uplifting and rewarding.”
