SAVANNAH, Ga. () – After a brief return to near-normal temperatures, we’re gearing up for a warm-up today. Once the morning fog dissipates, expect abundant sunshine with temperatures rising to the upper 70s, possibly reaching 80°.

TYBEE PARADE 3 PM SATURDAY: The weather is set to be delightful for the Tybee parade at 3 PM, with sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s along Tybee.

Tomorrow promises another warm day with temperatures nearing 80°. However, a cold front will be making its way into the area, bringing with it a chance of scattered showers and storms by the afternoon and evening. There’s a slight possibility that some storms could intensify into severe weather.

HILTON HEAD PARADE 2 PM SUNDAY: For those planning to attend the Hilton Head Island parade, it’s wise to carry an umbrella or raincoat. We are anticipating scattered rain and storm chances in the afternoon and evening.

WEATHER AWARE MONDAY: Monday is the day to stay vigilant for severe weather. We are under a Level 2 “Slight Risk” for scattered severe storms from Monday morning through the afternoon, with skies clearing by the evening. The primary concerns with this system include strong winds and the potential for an isolated tornado.

The good news is that conditions clear out in time for St. Patrick’s Day, but it will turn much cooler behind the front.

SAVANNAH PARADE 10 AM TUESDAY: Lows Monday night into Tuesday morning will fall into the mid 30s, just above freezing. Tuesday afternoon will feature a mix of sun and clouds with breezy conditions and highs only reaching the mid 50s. This is shaping up to be one of the colder St. Patrick’s Days we’ve seen in quite a while. If you’re heading to the parade, make sure you have those extra layers along with your sunglasses for the mix of sun and clouds…and of course something green and festive!

It stays chilly Tuesday night with lows near freezing before we start warming back up. Highs reach the low 60s Wednesday, upper 60s Thursday, and back into the mid 70s by Friday.
