SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Bourbon, bubbles and a bartender named Bugsy. Three things that make the Bootlegger a must-visit down on the riverwalk.

A 1920s-style speakeasy located right on the Riverwalk in downtown Savannah. The Bootlegger opened in 2023 on the lowest level of the River Street Hotel. The building itself is over 200 years old.

The Bootlegger’s big claim to fame is being known for its cocktails. We had bartender Brittany Craig, aka Bugsy, walk us through how some of the top sellers are made.

General Manager Lee Trammell says it is multiple things that makes this place so special:

“I think it’s the staff and the ambiance that keep the guests coming back. We have a great team here. They put on a great show here and we are also known for the best old-fashioned here in Savannah. Even our manager, you can find her in a 1900s style flapper telling a ghost story and our guests are really intrigued by that.”
