In a significant development for travelers, Orlando International Airport has revealed that one of its most beloved dining options is set to close as we usher in the new year.
Officials at the airport announced on Friday that Chili’s Grill & Bar will cease operations permanently on December 31, 2025. Starting January 1, 2026, this long-standing eatery will no longer serve the bustling crowds at the airport.
Reflecting on the closure, airport representatives expressed a mix of nostalgia and gratitude. “Chili’s Grill & Bar has been a cherished spot for countless travelers who have enjoyed its offerings,” remarked MCO officials. “From the iconic queso to other favorites, many have fond memories here. Saying goodbye is indeed bittersweet.”
Chili’s has been a fixture at Orlando International Airport for over two decades, having opened its doors around 2002. Its departure marks the end of an era for frequent flyers and airport visitors who have come to rely on this familiar culinary oasis.
According to the airport, the restaurant has been operating at MCO for over 22 years, first opening up around 2002.
Airport officials say that several options are being considered to replace the Chili’s restaurant, though no information has been released at this time.
