(The Hill) — President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and other members of the administration will speak at a memorial honoring Charlie Kirk on Sunday, according to a program from Turning Point USA.

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot Sept. 10 at an event on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem. He is survived by his wife, Erika Kirk, and two children.

“Though our hearts are heavy, we do not grieve as those without hope,” Turning Point USA’s program says. “Charlie’s legacy endures in his family, in Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action, and in the millions he inspired to live with conviction.”

Here’s what to know about the event.

Where and when is Kirk’s memorial?

The memorial will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. Kirk grew up in Illinois, but spent much of his adult life in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Doors will open at 8 a.m. local time, with the program starting at 11 a.m. (Arizona is three hours behind Eastern Time in the summer.)

How can the public attend?

Those interested in attending must first register on Turning Point USA’s website.

The event will be “first come, first served based on stadium capacity,” according to Turning Point USA. The stadium can hold in excess of 63,000 people. Overflow seating will be available at Desert Diamond Arena, the home of the Indoor Football League’s Arizona Rattlers, next door.

Parking is free, with attendees encouraged to carpool. The program says “enhanced security measures” will be in place for the event, which could result in longer wait times.

Attendees are instructed to wear their Sunday best, specifically red, white or blue colors.

Trump, Vance, administration officials will speak

Kirk, the conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder, was a close ally of the White House. He played a key role in convincing Trump to select Vance as his running mate and in the Trump-Vance campaign’s ground game in the 2024 election.

After his death, Vance and his wife, second lady Usha Vance, flew to Salt Lake City to meet with Kirk’s family and friends. The vice president and second lady then flew with Kirk’s casket to Phoenix on Air Force Two, Vance’s official plane.

White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump Jr., conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller and U.S. special envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs Sergio Gor will also speak.

Will Erika Kirk speak?

Kirk’s widow will deliver remarks.

On Friday, in her first public comments since her husband’s murder, Erika Kirk said, “To everyone listening tonight across America, the movement my husband built will not die.”

On Thursday, Turning Point USA announced its board had appointed her the new CEO and chair of the board. “In prior discussions, Charlie expressed to multiple executives that this is what he wanted in the event of his death,” a social media post said.

What is happening in Kirk’s case?

The accused gunman, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was taken into custody on Sept. 11.

On Tuesday, Robinson was charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice, witness tampering and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child.

Utah County Attorney General Jeff Gray said at a Tuesday press conference that the state will seek the death penalty.
