RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Jay Jones is eager to dive into his role as Attorney General.

In a recent conversation with Nexstar’s 8News, just before officially taking office, Jones shared his enthusiasm for stepping into his new role as Virginia’s 49th attorney general.

“I’m thrilled to start making a difference, ensuring Virginians know we are advocating on their behalf,” Jones expressed.

One of Jones’ immediate priorities involves participating in several lawsuits aimed at contesting what he describes as the Trump administration’s excessive reach in Washington, D.C.
