EVANS, Ga. () – A sea of attendees from the CSRA convened at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center on Christmas Eve, as Warren Church orchestrated its annual holiday celebrations.

Spanning three distinct services throughout the day, the event united worshippers from the church’s four campuses, offering a grand-scale spiritual gathering outside their usual sanctuaries. The initiative aimed to foster a welcoming atmosphere for the broader community during this festive period.

“Our goal is to present something fresh and inclusive for the community,” expressed Grant Janik, Family Life Pastor at Warren Church.

“Hosting events away from our church grounds adds a layer of engagement and distinctiveness, ultimately guiding more people towards Christ,” he added.

While the services embraced a celebratory spirit, church leaders were mindful of the fact that the holiday season can also be a challenging period for many individuals.

“We want Christmas at the Performing Arts Center to be a time where people get to have fun, but also a time where people get to be encouraged and strengthened,” said Pastor Andrew Skelton of Warren Crossbridge.

“We want to make sure we keep the main thing the main thing, and that is the gospel. That’s the good news.”

That message continues to draw families back year after year.

“This is really a family tradition of ours,” said Scott Skadan, who attends Warren Grovetown.

We have our two grandsons, the other set of in-laws joining us, so about eight of us all together. It’s something we love to do.”

Others said the event highlights the unity of the church during the Christmas season.

“I love the Christmas carols and everybody from the different campuses coming together to share Jesus,” said Hannah Lothry, who attends Warren Crossbridge.

This marks the fourth year Warren Church has hosted its Christmas Eve services at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center.  Many attendees hope the tradition continues for years to come.

Church leaders hope people leave the services encouraged and reminded of the birth of Jesus Christ.
