ARTHUR, Ill. (WCIA) — The Knights at Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond bring back an impressive amount of talent from the 2024 playoff team, eyeing a deeper run in 2025.

“There’s 16 seniors, so obviously you have a veteran presence kind of in each position group,” said head coach Ryan Jefferson. “Ever since they were freshmen, they just came in, put their head down, went to work, paid attention and shown all the way up to this point.”

Jefferson applauded not only the number of returners to his team but also the diversity in their skills. His run game is made up of players who can misdirect defenses at high speed.

“We can do more options of plays,” said senior lineman Kamden Morfey. “We hit harder. We were way faster than last year and we can trust our backs a lot more.”

ALAH opens the season on the road against Sangamon Valley/Tri-City.
