
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — After nearly a century of empowering women and serving the community, a significant chapter in Champaign County’s history is coming to an end.
The Junior League of Champaign-Urbana (JLCU) announced in a press release on Saturday that they will officially disband on May 31. Originally established in 1932 as “The Service League,” the JLCU has been a cornerstone in the Champaign-Urbana area, focusing on cultivating women’s leadership, fostering lifelong connections, and delivering impactful service.
