SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Local vendors will be on hand at the Eastern Wharf for the first of several farmers markets beginning Sept. 11.

Eastern Wharf has partnered with Savannah Sunset Market to highlight local produce, fish, baked goods, prepared foods and artisan crafts for seven weeks. Each week will also feature a rotating list of the food trucks, live music and cooking demonstrations.

Located in the grass lot next to the Thompson Hotel’s herb garden, the market will be open each week from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Kayne Lanahan, Eastern Wharf’s executive director says, “We are thrilled to have a regular farmers market coming to Eastern Wharf — it’s something we’ve been working on for a long time and the after-work time frame gives everyone a chance to make a night of it. Attendees can come do a little shopping and grazing and grab dinner and drinks at Squirrel’s Pizza, Fleeting, Bar by Fleeting or Bar Julian.”
