This past weekend in Edgar County, Illinois, a tragic multi-vehicle collision claimed a life, drawing a swift response from local emergency teams. The fatal accident unfolded at the intersection of Edgar County Roads 11 (Shiloh Road) and 8 (Horace – Brocton Road) at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Edgar County Coroner Scott Barrett provided details about the incident, indicating that a witness promptly reported the crash to 911, describing it as a two-vehicle collision that urgently required emergency assistance. Sadly, one individual lost their life in the crash. The identity of the deceased is being kept confidential until family members have been informed.
