ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 44-year-old Orlando man was killed Thursday night when a Ford Mustang turned into the direct path of his motorcycle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal two-vehicle wreck happened around 9:25 p.m. on West Holden Avenue near South Orange Blossom Trail.

The FHP said the 2011 Mustang, driven by a 23-year-old Bunnell man, was traveling east on Holden Avenue and made a left turn, entering the path of a westbound 2005 Suzuki DL 650 and striking the bike.

The motorcyclist was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead, troopers said.

The driver of the Mustang and his passenger were not injured and remained at the scene, the crash report stated.

The crash remains under investigation.
